Disc golf, also known as Frisbee golf, is a Frisbee sport in which players throw a disc into a target, usually a basket. It’s a sport born in the 1970s and is played outdoors with special discs similar to Frisbees. Disc golf has many similarities to traditional golf.
The goal of the game is to make the fewest throws to stop the disc in the basket. The player with the fewest throws, based on all the holes, wins. The first throw is made from a line, called a tee, then a marker is placed at the spot where the disc landed and the player throws from behind that spot.

The Le Ginestre di Oriolo DiscGolfPark is the first permanent disc golf course installed in Romagna. Several permanent courses already exist in Italy: Pietrabuona, Milan, Turin, Biella, Busseto, Parma, and many others around the world, some in truly stunning settings.
It’s also an excellent idea for team building activities, with the presence of an instructor, offering a fun experience in harmony with nature.
The creation of the first 9-basket DiscGolfPark course at the Parco delle Ginestre (Oriolo, Faenza) is a major step towards effectively promoting the sport in our area. This will allow for open days, training sessions, and tournaments on the course, as well as allowing anyone to play freely. The course is installed in the public park thanks to the sponsors who made the project possible.
Meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. to try your hand at golf with an instructor. The park is open to the public every day, and if you don’t have Frisbees, you can rent them for free at La Sabbiona.
